Exercise is the best maintenance method for women
I usually go to the gym or for a run at the park, but no matter where I choose to work out, these workout pants are absolutely essential. I’m definitely not the only one, either – it’s obviously become a huge trend. And it’s not just that they feel good when I’m wearing them – according to some studies, they are a genuinely great asset for workout routines. Workout pants make working out easier because with them you avoid the so-called body jiggle: they help your muscles stay in place, making it easier to exercise. This is especially helpful with bodyweight and weight lifting exercises, which I regularly do at my gym. But it’s not just gym workouts. When I’m running, I want to be able to just listen to my music and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the park, without being bothered by muscle pain and fatigue.
They have this effect because they have a constricting effect on the muscle, which reduces fluid buildup and a decrease in pressure and swelling. I think of it as a kind of no-hands massage. This is not just theory – I’ve actually read it in a report in the British Journal of Sports Medicine. The faster I recover, the sooner I can exercise again – that’s why this is such an important point. There’s another benefit of wearing workout pants that I’d like to mention. According to some theories, they can refine proprioception – one’s sense of how their body is positioned in space. What does this mean? Well, it makes for an improvement of movement efficiency, and a reduction of the number of muscles that need to be activated. This is yet another way that leggings make exercising easier.
